Ah the Mini - the first car that I can remember my Dad owing. I even remember the registration: BHN 9N on a maroon 850. We went everywhere in it, including four up on a camping trip to Paignton, from Co Durham in 1976 (great summer!) with a trailer that seemed bigger than the car, on tow. That limited us to 50mph ...

My first Mini memory goes back to the early 1960s when my father turned up in a Mini Traveller having left the house with an Austin Cambridge (his cousin had the dealership in Cardigan). As a Mini back-seat passenger, the novelty wore off quickly - there were often three of us back there, so the sibling fight for the middle seat was epic! ...

No, it’s not some blinged-up Chelsea tractor.
