Japanese car special

The new October 2009 issue of CAR magazine celebrates 20 years of sensational Japanese sportscars. We drive the landmark cars that transformed eastern car makers from humdrum to drum-banging: big hitters including the Honda NSX, Mazda MX-5, Nissan Skyline, Subaru Impreza, Honda Integra Type R, Toyota Supra, Mazda RX-7 and Mistubishi Evo. Plus we drive the next generation of Japanese sporting kings, including the Mugen Honda Civic Type R hot hatch and Lexus’s rampant supercar, the V10 LF-A. Make sure you read all about it in the new issue of CAR magazine. And don’t forget to vote in our poll below to decide once and for all the best Japanese sportscar of all time. We’ll be adding new content to this page every day this week – with blogs by Stephen Bayley and Gavin Green, quizzes, wallpapers and concept cars galore. Enjoy!
