Nissan Juke: video at the Get Carter car park

In the latest August 2010 issue of CAR Magazine we exclusively shot the new Nissan Juke at the iconic Brutalist car park that starred in 60s gangster Britflick Get Carter. Below’s some video shot on the day.

You can read our six-page feature in the new August issue; we tested the new 1.6 turbo 4wd version, as well as the diesel front-wheel drive one. The Gateshead car park was a fittingly strange backdrop for this strange new Nissan – both have alien, brutal style and the Juke is built just a dozen miles away in Nissan’s Sunderland factory.

A weird car in a strange car park!

Indeed. Have you seen the Juke in the metal yet? UK customer cars don’t land until September 2010, but you’ll see a few publicity and dealer cars knocking around. It’s an intriguing design, svelte and bijou from some angles, angry and disharmonious from others. Especially that gaping front end.

To help you make your own minds up about those looks, here’s some video from the day, as the burnt copper Juke legged it around the Get Carter car park, which has subsequently been demolished.
