Best diesel car for about %XA31800-2100

I would like to ask for some help and advice.

I am planning to buy my first car, and have about £2k to spare. Bare in mind though that I am planning to buy one from an auction.

I am thinking about 3 different models at the moment. All diesel (I have access to cheap diesel), all hatchbacks (I like the look of them), all about 2004/5 make:

1. Ford Fiesta (it seems to be the most reliable of the three)

2. Vauxhall Astra (it seems to be the most enjoyable to drive of the three)

Police Porsche Panamera seen at last...

Check this out - 200 mph Police Car - Police Trial Modified Porsche Panamera.

I found this performance direct motoring news report on youtube.com. the superfast porsche panamera police car is on trial in essex the report says. it's fast. on the video it must do 0-60 in under 4 seconds. Has anyone seen this on the roads yet?

Amazing Tuscany by classic car

Hi everybody, me and my girlfriend just got back from an amazing trip to Italy. We were looking for something different, so we rented a classic car and drove through the amazing hills of Tuscany. We can remember where we were when we heard the JKF had been assassinated. I was in school, reading about it in a book, in 1978. Road Rage

Anyone here displays it or has been subjected to road rage?

I can't say i display road rage apart from the usual swearing and waving but not directly to them except for the customary "What the hell are you doing?" hand gesture and head shake. In sever cases i have been known to give other drivers the finger and/or yell at them but only if they've been total morons. In all cases i dont stop to pick a fight though, I just continue on my way and keep swearing for a good 5 minutes.

Which are you?

Although much of this site rankles me, I do feel compelled to contribute to the forum, purely because of the quality of bloggers and their correspondence and commitment. I also have an addiction which some of you (ga41, Robby1977, livc44411, lokinen and Elephant Stomp), appear to share.

Funny/Stupid things YOU have done on the road

Hey, been chatting with friends in the pub about funny/stupid/odd things we've done or what has happened to us on the road and it turned out to be a hilarious subject with stories from driving down a motorway naked to ramming into the back of a police car whilst adjusting alcohol shopping on the passenger seat.
