BMW 5 series hybrid - and the point is?

 Seen some figures on this on Autocar, followed by lots of comments, why bother, just get a diesel etc. but there is a better alternative: the 528i petrol, which has virtually the same co2 and performance figures but costs £10k less

Any thoughts as to any reason why the hybrid would be better? I really can nt think of one

Cheapest Tata Nano becomes costliest Car in India

Goldplus Nano car - made with gold and silver, and studded with precious stones - worth an astronomical over Rs 22 crore. Tata Nano is claimed to be world's cheapest car starting at Rs 1 lakh.

The car's body is made with 80 kg 22 carat solid gold, 15 kg silver, precious stones - including diamonds, rubies - and other expensive gemstones.

I idly wondered what had happened to the Mercury brand? It was paired with Lincoln as one of Ford´s higher level cars. If you go to their website there is this touching message:

"If you're shopping for a Mercury.
The Mercury brand is being phased out.
We are no longer producing Mercury vehicles.
However, we do have some great options
with our Ford and Lincoln brands. "
