 Bit disappointed with the standard 'tell-us-what-you-think-but-not-really' marketing rubbish questions.

If you'd wanted a bit of non-antiseptic opinion, you might have given us an 'anything you want to add box'. Wherein I could have said

A:-that 4x4 offroad and softroad vehicles bore me to death, are for the most part plug ugly , take up far too much room on the road, and have no business in a magazine called 'CAR'. 

B:-that your standard of photography is terrific, and can we have a piece about your photographers and how they go about taking the pictures please.

C:-that you do motorsport articles ...

Geneva motor show 2012

It's that time of the year again: the Geneva motor show is looming! The 2012 show kicks off on 6 March and we're wondering how to cover it. We have plenty of conversations internally about our treatment of motor shows, but I'd welcome your views.

Do you like our current formats? We currently:

• Publish individual news stories on the key cars
• Write a Live Blog reporting the colour and atmosphere and news as it happens 
• Wrap things up with a Gavin Green blog
• Record a video chat with key CAR correspondents live at ...

Can't find online entry for Auris comp.

Just flicking through the October issue, on pages 156 and 157there's a competition to guess how far an Auris Hybrid will go on a 45 litre tank.

I can't find the entry form on this website.

BMW article

The article on the M3 Ute (clearly an April Fool) posted today seems to have vanished and if you click on the link to "BMW M3 Pick-Up (2011) first official pictures" you get sent to the old "spy shot" item... did someone get a stern talking to from the BMW PR office?

Front page articles by CAR4MH

Has any one else noticed that CAR4MH (Mark Harrison) has penned a number of pieces for the front pages this week? Or maybe someone has spoke with him & knows already? (know some of you tweet him....)

I presume he's doing a work experience at the offices like I did, or maybe remotely as New Zealand to Peterborough is a tad excessive for a commute!

Shall message him personally to let him know I've spotted his work!

Such has been the deluge of preshow information, I have decided to go ahead and write my Geneva Show round up a week early this year.

Where is out iPad application?

Car & Driver has one, EVO Magazine has an amazing app so where is the one fofr CAR?

Some of us living away from a news agent would be very pleased to have their copy reliably arrive via the Internet. This would alos allow us to see the tiny print now being used to squeeze in all those titialting bits of news.

Come on iPad app soon please

Petition! Stop Mr. Marchionne


@ Car Magazine and to all it's bloggers, commentators, and writers ;

It is time for a uprise within us car enthousiast and journalists. We must make a petition for Mr. Marchionne head of Fiat to stop selling Chryslers with Lancia, Fiat, Alfa Romeo or Maserati badges on them.

 

We must show him the hunt for short term profits will eventually kill Fiat. Platform sharing is o.k. Volkswagen style but this is more than that. It's sticking badges to an American car and calling it Italian.

It's like selling Cheddar cheese as Parmesan. Which is forbidden in ...
