An alternative to a V70

My brother´s wife needs a newer estate car. They currently run a battered ´95 Passat wagon which is spacious and light and a pleasure to drive. It´s just very wrecked. They have two 11 year olds and a big dog. Currently a Volvo V70 is their preferred choice. I think it´s a 5 year old example. They live in a sometimes snowy rural area. Has anyone any further options they could or should consider. The annual mileage won´t be more than 10,000 km. The V70 strikes me as a dull, overpriced car with less room inside than they need. Throwaway Lines

The days of a car's design being defined by two lines appear to be over. Dropping, diving, balancing, the new S-class has more lines to remember than Hamlet. Oh well, if you can't beat them, you might as well join them - and anyway why should companies be the ones to come up with all the vocabulary of the design language? Suggestions please for all the possible lines which a car could be festooned with! But please, no sketches - like Mercedes you must describe your lines with words. Afterall, we're talking design language here - not design sketches.

sold car while sorned does this make the car unsorned

hi ive just sold a car that has been sorned for 15months so does this make the car unsorned when they received  the new log book or not?

im asking because the new owner asked me and i didnt know what to say?

can anyone help me find out please

i know you have to insure it and mot it im just not sure if the new owner is going to keep it in a garage off the road or put it back on the road.

My new wheels, at last!

 Well. I am now one month in to Focus ownership. An ST-3, 3 door to be precise.
The ST-3 trim is the top model, with heated, electric leather Recarro's front and back and an uprated stereo.

I spent weeks scouring the ads for the right one, at the right money. I was specific that I wanted a blue 3 door ST3, then the perfect one popped up; £7500, 2007, FSH, 2 owner, 37,000 miles. This one also had factory installed Parrot hands-free, the 'big-brake' upgrade & rear parking sensors. Game on!
