Driving Habits

My colleagues and I often share our experiences of road users good and bad and wanted to get a view from any CAR readers... Is it just me or has adhering to the highway code become as mythical as the Arc of the Covenant? I live in a really hilly city (Bristol) and have rarely witnessed drivers giving way to the upcoming vehicle, its usually more a vague game of chicken. My boss recently drove over to the nordschiefe (excuse my spelling) and I was keen to hear of his road experiences as he went via the autobahns, depressingly he reported that our European friends ...

When is a family car not a family car? When you have 3 kids!!

Hi,

Currently looking to change my VW Sharon for a real car rather than a van with windows! To my amazement when trying to fit the car seats for my 5, 3 and 1 year olds there is not enough room in a 'family' estate. I have tried a Merc C Class, Audi A6 and a Volvo V70.

I don't want a 4x4 so it looks like it's a van with windows again......

Any ideas??

G.M going to the wall

A few months ago I personally said I never believed G.M could ever go bust,too much money and too many jobs involved I said.

Rick Wagoner annouced yesterday loss of 2.5 billion dollars and finally mentioned the fact that the company could be going bust as early as 2009 if it doesnt get a share of  the 25billion dollars promised by the govenment and lately by President Obama asap.

I also know he is trying to sell the Hummer brand and ACDelco(car parts) and also that he wants to close down a factory in eastern France. 

Now call me naive but is Rick Wagoner just preaching the worse to get his hand on ...

Top Gear season 12 episode 1

How did you like the first episode?

I liked it. Thought it was funny but not as good as a season opener should be. The lorry driving bit wasnt that funny to be honest but it had it's moments. The LP560-4 review was good and funny but i was disappointed at how little time he (Clarckson) gave the 911 GT2. All he did was drive it around for 20 seconds, spinning constantly, burning lots of rubber and screaming like an idiot, then he went to the Gallardo.. He really doesnt like Porsche's does he?

Overall i liked the episode but ...

Infiniti convertible will go on public soon

Looking forward the Infiniti convertible coming to enter into China market. A long-awaited Infiniti convertible will go public at the Los Angeles auto show Nov. 19 -- but Bloomingdale's customers will get the opportunity to buy it before then.
