That's a scaly problem, and one I haven't got my hook into yet.

Perfectly juvenile entertainment is what this forum long lacked. well, spares me the need to go for a kip....
Juvenile! Ha, it's easy for you to say varunjk. Do you know how long I've had to live to get to this level?

I never said I didn't like it! It'd be a little thick, anyway, coming from a teen like me. Amidst a sea of serious, poker-faced hacks (well, maybe not Batty) some form of diversion is welcome. More so when you see people really let go of themselves, as in this post.
Anybody else think our fishy friend on this forum was actually a pretty good idea?

Definitely enjoyed our fishy friends posts, this Internet forum/comment malarky is all about strong , outspoken opinions and rattling a few cages. It so often goes wrong when things get personal but our friend ,even if you disagreed completely with him, did make extremely well written and non insulting posts.I thought it was excellent.

I certainly agree with your point about outspoken opinions enlivening things and, as someone who's hardly here anymore, it's a bit rich of me to complain, but I can't agree he wasn't insulting (to others) at least in his earlier XJ posts. Like I said somewhere (or at least meant to) maybe he's used to more confrontational sites, so feels he needs to come out fighting. Also, I suppose the single-issue JLR thing gets tiresome quite quickly and you feel you're being preached to, rather than having a discussion (or even argument). I miss JohnnyBimmer in a way, he was smart and funny at one point but, at the end of his Reign, he just seemed to become a ranter. It is possible to have strong opinions and to listen at the same time.
By the way, not having been around for a while, I hope your leg is now well.
Cheers mate, the leg is still a problem, still numb and I trip and stumble quite easily but it is definitely improving ...Don't know about the Xj posts, I don't really get engrossed too much in the front of house posturing, in fact I only came across this jaguar one because I could make neither head nor tail of this topic here and suddenly realised it was about something going on elsewhere.....suddenly it all became clear:)

Sorry to hear it's taking so long, but at least it's going in the right direction (there's probably some sort of old Skoda joke I could put in there!). Yes, I'm not sure how I got involved in going back to the front pages - I promised not to. It sucks you in and, except rarely, to no great reward!

Re several posts on Golf mk7. Based on what I've read, "Herr Ing" codandchips loves VAG, but this might just be a red herring......
