I never understood a word of this, but then I don’t keep my ear to the ground. For example, who is this Fernando Alonso? A footballer? Still, it all seemed to make the younger readers chortle.

I find Car’s banning of troublesome members disturbingly nannying, even when they are undoubted pains in the arse. So I’ll pay passing mention to the Lost Boys who were Petrolheadinrussia aka Robinstp, SnarkKiller and Codandchips. Peter Pan to them all, though, was the late (of this site, though I guess he’s making friends and influencing people somewhere else) JohnnyBimmer aka GoldRush. He became belligerently single issue in his final days, but sites like this need a wide spectrum of opinion :

This thread never seemed to take legs. Such a pity. I understand why other members watch it, since there is little else around, but I’ve never sat down an watched an episode. However, I’ve come across YouTube excerpts when researching stuff and all I see are glib and expensive schoolboy pranks. I know, I should lighten up.

This exemplifies what I’ve enjoyed about this Forum. The start of the thread led to a most thorough piece of research by a member which shed a lot of light on Jaguar’s painful transition from the Lyons era and, specifically, made me appreciate a car that I had previously scorned.
