Re: peugeot 207 cc with faulty roof

 GREAT NEWS...

Thank you to everyone who read my initial message.

After 6 months of complaining to the dealer and finally rejecting the car under the sales of goods act to both the managing director of peugeot uk and the actual dealership, i finally had a meeting yesterday with a technical specialist who came down to kent to view my car from head office at coventry.

As expected the car failed a water test in front of the speicalist (leaking in 5 different places along the seals), and 2 hours later, I Walked away (well they actually gave me a lift home) leaving my car in their hands and a refund for the full purchase price of the car. THANK YOU TO THE TECH WIZ FROM HQ!

Having had numerous soft tops of various makes, which didn't have water leaks, the quality of this vehicle was unacceptable. It took a lot of fighting and all i can say to others in the same position is, stand your ground. These dealers are not above the law and you ARE entitled to reject the car under the sales of goods act if you have given them 'reasonable' time to fix the problem and they don't.

thanks again.
Karen

Re: peugeot 207 cc with faulty roof

Hi

Would you mind telling me who the Managing Director is at Peugeot please?

I used to have a Customer Service Manager name at HO but not sure if that is still right (had a rubbish car in 2003 too!).

I really don't just want to speak to a general Customer Service person - need someone with a bit of authority.

Many thanks

Re: peugeot 207 cc with faulty roof

Hi all, first post ever, but I just had to write and say well done to karenalabaster for getting her money back.

I have been complaining about a leaking roof on my new 207CC from two weeks after taking delivery of it. on 1st March

Would love to hear of any other people with the same problem, like Karen says it is not acceptable.

Hi there,

Did you get your roof issue resolved? If so, how? I too am having the same problems with my roof leaking, 8 times it's now been back to the dealer. I'm so fed up with Peugeot. They've offered me £250 voucher to spend in my dealer, as full and final settlement of the issue, They can stick it!

Come on girls (and guys), stick together on this problem and let's get our cars sorted out and our money back!

Re: peugeot 207 cc with faulty roof

hi, i am having the same problem for the last 6 months my car has been filling with water in the boot and now in the passagers foot wells, i thought the problem was down to a leaking window screen which has now been replaced and the car had been professionally cleaned and dried out by the peugeot garage and now it has happened again and they have told me they want to do another water test on the car and stripe all the interior out of the car so it is going to cost me a fortune.

can anyone help advise me on what to do as i am now at my wits end and have had enough i am paying the garage to go around in circles and not getting anyway please can someone help?
