Thanks as always Mark.

I'm off now till at least Sun PM. So as the man himself says; 'aveagudwkend!' all.

Re: Thanks this week

Thanks to you, too.

Having a quiet one waiting for the wife to go to bed, it being 'Mothers Day' here in Germland tomorrow and so the girls and I are going to be on best behaviour, and it's time I set the table for brekky and the alarm for an (unaccustomed) early start on Sunday.

Have a good wun

Kudos duly earned. Thank you car4mh.

Thank you also Goatboy this week, wonderful effort and such an engaging writing style. It is perhaps a misrepresentation of the cliche of the Irish having the "gift of the gab"- two of our membership most definitely have a gift in their ability to write in a wonderfully engaging manner.

I have been away much of this week, perhaps ga41 could add some that I have missed?

Re: Thanks this week

Kubrick and his futile attempts to accurately predict how the new XJ will look (only joking my friend, i love the sketches )

BertandNairobi who keeps uncovering little nuggets of automotive journalism gold (although i still wish he would track down Mr Vicar for a comment... )

And Zophos79 who is always eloquent and courteous and has also contributed some fine comments this week. A confused lad he is though, he cant seem to decide between an Alfa, a Volvo and a Citroen... I thought the choice is clear... He also ruined my qualifying forum lap!

If i have forgotten anyone i am deeply sorry this is hardly a scientific decision..

Re: Thanks this week

Bit flat this week on the forum , let's be honest. So in order to encourage further interaction I hope.

Thanks this week, in no order as usual:

bertandnairobi- How on earth he finds these wonderful articles of Mr Vicar is beyond me. How I wish that could perhaps channel the spirit of Vicar and do a review on a modern-ish car. I wonder whether a conteporary review of an XM?

livc44411- is one of a pair that are holding the forum together at the moment.

morepowerigor- the matching pair, very funny and even joins in on his holidays! Hope the weather is being kind sir.

car4mh- back from the US wiht humour and intelligence enhanced further, a top bloke (especially for a Kiwi)

Petroleuminside- nice work recently and hasn't been intimidated by the lack of activity.

Wittgenfrog & joedodgy also graced our forum which was very nice, I hope they become more frequent contributors.

That's it this week.

I am missing kubrick's input a lot recently, I hope he can rejoin the forum soon- I trust we haven't offended him just that he is too busy with his glorious XJ. If possible, an updated report would be wonderful sir.

I also hope for Goatboys return.

Re: Thanks this week

Back in Germany this afternoon, even went to IKEA on the way home from the airport.  I might as well have called in to the office while I was about it, talk about returning to earth with a bump!

I don't wish to wsh myself a wet summer, but I suspect that's what it might take to reach the productivity of the spring!

I've added a piccie or two from a boys' weekend away before my trip to Blighty

Have a good weekend everyone.

Hello Mark et all!

Just an update, thought I had posted about this a while ago, I am still alive but life has been very busy this last month or so.

This week I have been helping the gf move house, and been spending a lot of the last month preparing. She is a hoarder beyond belief, & clearing her house has been a mammoth task!

We are now 90% there, and are heading away for a week tomorrow, to relax & for my birthday - so I'll be quiet for a few weeks yet.

I'll be around soon though!
