Re: Thanks this week.

I too have been spending less and less time here, which is a shame as like said before it really is quite civilised. It would be a shame for it to dissapear. I'm gonna try and spend abit more time in the new year on here and try and get some design threads going as that is what I enjoy most. I at least want to get to a 1000 posts after 4 and a half years on here. I do watch the posts but never really find time to post.

I would like to add Ben Whitworth to Batty's list for his occasional but always worthy contribution to the debate here.

Happy Xmas everyone!

Re: Thanks this week.

I would like to add my fond wishes for the festivities to one and all - sadly my presence on the site has been pathetically fleeting this year. I hope to do better in 2011.

Have a great break and best wishes for the coming year.

Hope the holiday season is going well for everyone in the forum community, and you had an enjoyable (or survivable if it's not your scene) Christmas!

Belated thanks to everyone for another enjoyable year of commentary, discussion and banter here - and to the CAR crew who enable our pontificating, rambling, satirising, arguing, ranting, joking or grumbling all over their website.

Particular thanks to gtrslngr, livc44411, Lokinen, Robby1977 and seant, who I had the pleasure to meet in person this year, for the hospitality and good times!

All the best for the new year, and looking forward to continued fun & games here in the forum in 2011.

As I've only managed sporadic visits of late only just read the above.

I hear from Oli you missed the train, bugger!!  Mind, I'm sure you'll agree it was worth it for that bacon & cheese burger down by the river!

Hope all had a great one, & all that 2011 brings you all you wish for, speak soon.

They say that a dog is mans best friend. This simple experiment proves this. Lock your missus and your dog in the boot of your car. Return to let them out after an hour and see which one is most pleased to see you....

Re: Thanks this week.

@Robby - you know what, the enforced midlands overnight stay  and even the 2am fire alarm at the hotel were all worth it for catching up with mates and more good stories to tell. Travelled back into snow-bound London and got to catch up with some friends unfortunately stranded at Heathrow that weekend so can't complain at all.

Thanks again to all in the UK I had a chance to say hi to, and the usual suspects whose company I've enjoyed here in the forum.  I am currently in the shopping mall and snow preservation park that is Heathrow, about to leave for sub-zero east-coast America and a journey to Motor City next week.  Stay tuned...

Re: Thanks this week.

That time of year again and I like to thank all of you who have contirbuted to this website. I have had some wonderful discussions and learnt an awful lot from the friendliest bunch of people on the internet. I used to name you all and send you all personal messages of best wishes but I simply haven't organised enough time this year, sorry.

Have a safe festive break and hopefully we can all meet up here again next year. I may be coming to Europe in 2012 and if anyone was interested, I'd be keen to organise a meal or a drink to catch up with you friendly folk. We might be able to convince some of the busy CAR staffers to come along too, if they can behave themselves.

P.S. If you are the type that reads these threads yet doesn't comment, as a gift to us in the forum would you possibly leave a Christmas present of a Hi? It'd be nice to know who reads all this guff.

Best wishes for the season and a prosperous 2012 to all!

Ha,ha,ha,ha,ha.

Re: Thanks this week.

Merry Xmas to everybody and let's look forward to an even better year next year. I've been sharpening my creative writing pencil in other areas just lately so it's going to be my new years resolution to do less watching and more topic starting, perhaps with a a bit more fun and leg pulling. Mark, put me down for that social event, wild horses won't keep me away from that one and let's hope we get a few good names along.
