No, but almost if only for my mental image of seeing more of Ronnie at the wheel.
The 72 looks a little spindly whereas the 79 is so gorgeous that you buy a scale model to hold in your hands. Well, I do anyway. No cooler looking F1 car with wings has there ever been!
Oooh shiny!

While we're looking at racers, I always thought that the Barnhard Ferraris were fantastic. Not as wonderful as the JPS cars, but also an enrichment of the visual environment, unlike the last few years of F1 cars.

Me too! I especially like that early version of the 640, before they put the airbox over the driver's head. I also like Gustav Brunner's F187, very pretty. Oh and the BT55 looked way cool lying down like that. Look at that rear wing!!
I can't ever see myself liking the new F1 cars, although the Red Bull, McLaren and Ferrari seem to have managed far better than BMW and especially Renault.
Liar, thief, scoundrel: I keep my own counsel.

This thread died very quickly with the introduction of Formula One cars... I shall try and get it back on track, others permitting.
The Lotus Europa is a dog-ugly car but by god is it cool. I used to watch a bloke with a silver one drive past work often and he just had cool written all over his mile-wide smile, hehe.
I had however, never heard of a John Player Special Europa.... anyone care to enlighten me or do I have to do all the digging myself?
;)

Colin Chapman, Chairman of Lotus Cars Ltd, commisioned the famous, black & gold 'John Player Special', to celebrate winning the 1972 Formula One Constructors Championship. These were special production cars.

Beep Beep
Did they come with an ashtray Reg?
Has there ever been a cool special edition (a sticker version, not Clio Willliams')? Perhaps the Rallye Peugeots?
Locally we got the fantastic Commodore Vacationer (stickers and sunvisors - oh so cool for granpa) and I think there may have even been a Gemini "sandpiper". Two tone, gold over sand if I remember correctly- so nice it seared my retina's.
Without a doubt friend.I think the idea was for the smoker to attempt to match the Hue of their phlegm and finger stain to the gold of the stripes. They normally manage it ok on their net curtains
TeeHee!!
So, what had the people at Malcolm Wilson Motorsport ingested before producing that charming light green shade they use on the WRC Focus?
Too much fresh air up in the Cumbrian hills and they've come home with a nasty cold, perhaps?
