If this has been done before, I apologise, but I saw one of these the other day and was immediately reminded of this. Okay, I'll admit I've not been well, so perhaps it's the drugs:

Matron....!

Hi Gb, that's a new one, and quite apt. Here it is with another spiritual forebear.

Could Mercedes's 1960s fronts have been inspired by Facel?

Jowett Jupiter   +  TR2  +  Daimler Conquest

I've always found these cars to be bloody ugly. I think the designs are nose heavy, and unbalanced as a result. It's like they were applying 1930s style to 1950s bodies, and the results were unnecessarily contrived and complex.

I still don't like them, but they don't look so bad today. Meanwhile I can sort of see a styling progression from Jowett to 190SL.

Pininfarina had a go at a Jowett, and it came out looking like a ... Pininfarina design.

Later, Jowett had a go at a more modern prototype themselves, and it looked a bit Touring.
