I think earlier versions had nicer seats. The dashboard in the early Gammas was always rubbish. I have a book of period reviews which show oddly assembled arrangements. I think the Italians had a hard time in the transition from simple, metal dashboards to fully integrated ones. The transtion period was the 70s. My work on the 604 shows how Peugeot struggled too: compare the 604 with the 505, just a few years apart.
