Even if you’ve never been to the Nurburgring, the wonders of the internet mean you can get a real flavour of this incredible place. YouTube is an incredible source of video clips, some of which we’ve picked out for your perusal.
Marvel at Stefan Roser’s white-socked antics in the RUF CTR Yellowbird, the ineptitude of some BMW-driving ‘Ring virgins who manage to spin on their first corner and some scary footage of a '60s single-seater tackling the track flat out, long before there were any barriers separating driver from trees.
