Rated 3 out of 53

Anonymous, 09 July 2010 15:11

CAR drove the new Vauxhall Ampera Extended Range Electric Vehicle (E-REV) up the hillclimb at the 2010 Goodwood Festival of Speed – and below you can watch a brief video review of the Ampera as Tim Pollard cruises back down.   brightcove.createExperiences(); It's been ages coming! When can we buy the Vauxhall Ampera? February 2012 is the current on-sale date; ...

Vauxhall Ampera plug-in hybrid (2009) CAR review

Rated 3.5 out of 53.5

Ben Oliver, 27 August 2009 09:37

The Vauxhall Ampera – also known as the Opel Ampera and best known as the Chevrolet Volt – is, according to one General Motors insider, ‘the most important car the company has ever built’.  So our first chance to drive it is a significant event, even if it is just a test mule with the Ampera’s powertrain fitted to a ...

Vauxhall Insignia VXR (2009) UK CAR review

Rated 3.5 out of 53.5

Chris Chilton, 31 July 2009 09:59

What’s this, has the VXR brand gone all sensible? Depends on how sensible you class a 321bhp family saloon that hits 60mph in 5.6sec and could top 170mph were it not for the killjoy limiter. But yes, the hottest Insignia is certainly more visually restrained than the usual VXR offerings and signals Vauxhall’s desire to make this particular VXR appeal ...

Vauxhall VXR8 facelift (2008) CAR review

Rated 3 out of 53

Ben Barry, 17 September 2008 09:00

Seems the 6.0-litre V8 LS2 was a bit weedy at 411bhp and 405lb ft, so the LS3 takes its place with a newly swollen 6.2 litres of Aussie muscle. The VXR8 isn't exactly in ...

Vauxhall VXR8 (2007) CAR review

Rated 3 out of 53

Ben Barry, 31 May 2007 04:23

That’s one hell of a Vauxhall you've got there... Don’t let the badge fool you. It reads Vauxhall but underneath that chunky sheetmetal is Holden’s new Commodore Clubsport R8 with a higher spec GTS interior. Re-badged as the VXR8, and wearing a barely believable £35,105 price tag, this 411bhp monster will terrorise British roads come mid-June. The new Commodore is ...

Vauxhall Monaro VXR500 (2006) CAR review

Rated 3 out of 53

Jon Smith, 11 October 2006 04:50

Hang on, isn't the Monaro dead? Not yet, mate. The Aussie-built Calibra-for-the-Millennium Monaro VXR refuses to go quietly. And rightly so. You see it's all thanks to Greens Vauxhall dealership and tuning outfit Wortec. Between them they have conceived a tiny volume, mammoth power special breed of Monaro. The VXR 500. Officially the fastest ever production Vauxhall, it makes the ...
