BMW Vision Efficient Dynamics

Brilliant... The Minds of tomorow are BMW minds

Ok, so that was a bit of a rant - and as Resis pointed out, slightly hypocritical due to my anti-Audi/Merc statements, so I must backtrack slightly. However, I feel that the mark needs to be defended. Every month, magazines have tests which try to depose BMW's finest. The 3 and 5 are always regarded as best in class, and yet they rarely achieve more stars than it's 2 next closest rivals. I'm quite happy to admit I'm a BM man and that I see Audi and Mercedes as 'the enemy', but at the same time I would buy an S-class over a 7 series and the R8 would be the first car I'd buy if my numbers were to come up - both these cars are class leaders that get the regognition they should do. Anyway, I've calmed down now.

Brando, You are clearly a lover of BMW cars and have every right to defend your beloved marque but why is any hint of critisicm levelled at BMW to be met with such hysteria. Yes cars never match the manufacturers claims for fuel consumption but BMW are making a huge marketing pitch with efficent dynamics and CAR should give some critical weight to the pros and cons of the technology BMW are pushing. The Minis stated fuel consumption which appears distinctly average surely gives rise to legitimate concerns about such claims. Is it not possible for CAR to have some more balanced reporting without offending the delicate sensibilities of BMW lovers?
