Aston Martin Rapide (2009) new CAR spy video

Aston Martin will start production of its Bentley Continental Flying Spur rival in early 2009. Based on the DB9's, the 6.0-litre V12 is still present and correct but the aluminium platform is stretched to accommodate two proper rear seats. See and hear the Rapide driven in anger in our spy video below.

I have given up on the idea of "cool" cars, a car (whether its an aston or a ferrari) cant make an idiot look "cool", and if you are "cool" you can drive any car like and carry it of ;-)

Hey look is that a DB9 or a V8 Vantage. nope it could be though. They all look the same. And on Top Gear Richard Hamond was right about Aston Martons. They've taken over form Ferraris at being uncool to car pepole. People don't say I want a ferrari any more its 'I want a Aston'. and then don't even know what model it is. and when people start to say that, its not good to have that car anymore, for me anyway. Still want that Maserati Granturismo. you bet. Right man the hatches, take cover... But its true though chavs used to say i want a Ferrari, but now its a Aston, and seals my point

Great video, but does the guy have to talk over the engine sound, we get one second of uninterrupted engine, come on, give us a break, we know what it is. Great new feature

Did he say this is the first 4 door Aston? Was there not the Lagonda? Mind, from what I remember, it's entirely possible I hallucinated the whole thing...I see a wedge you could cut yourself on...the top 6 inches of a Bentley grill...star trek instruments...
