Audi scoop special: Audi A2 could be revived

Could the Audi A2 badge be revived? Sources at Ingolstadt say that the electric package for the A1 could be reserved for a reborn A2; it is considering a lightweight aluminum spaceframe (ASF) city car made to measure for battery operation. Think a Duracell A2, wrapped up in contemporary Audi styling.

Audi’s ASF costs too much to be shared with other VW brands – but we hear that the basic underlying concept can be sufficiently flexible to spawn a small e-powered sports car badged Porsche... Now there’s a thought to savour.
