More reader spy photos of BMW PAS

Reader Dennis Jakobsen saw our scoop on Friday of the new 5-series PAS and thought we'd like to see the latest shots of the strange hatch/MPV/wagon hybrid on the roads of Munich.

He took these shots on Saturday 6 December 2008 - suggesting that BMW is working its engineers hard. Either that, or they're using prototypes for their weekend Christmas shopping!

Cars own artists rendering points toward a "semi-MPV" or a less aggressive SUV. These photos indicates something that rather more resembles a conventional sedan. If the window profiles are anything to go by, this seems to have proportions rather like a Citroën C6 - or for that matter an Audi A6. This clearly cannot be the case, but if it is not a semi-MPV, then what is it?

With sales figures down, do you batten down the hatches and try and ride the storm, or launch new models and niche markets to promote sales and brand awareness. Chicken or egg ?
