M3 just NEEDS to been driven, but I can't imagine it would let you relax and so a bit compromised as an all round package. Lexus not proven (as a hot, hot saloon) and somewhat anonymous. Undoubtedly a good car and would probably never let you down. The Mercedes is for me the best package. You can add on the bits to make it as good a track car as the BM, limited slip et al. Ok, so there's extra expense, but in the real world of driving on the many and various roads we have in the UK, I reckon the Merc would be the more faithful companion.

I agree with GA41, in the real world you should buy the lexus, it will never go wrong, and will be as fast as you will ever want, but, it's a lexus, and really, who wants to drive one of those. The best car is the BMW, no question, but stuck on the Howard Frankin bridge in rush hour everyday (substitute the North circular or whatever hell you drive in everyday) and the car to buy is the Merc, it does 90% of what the BM does, but can be a Toyota Camry when you need it to be, and a Porsche when you feel the need, and I don't like Merc's!!!!!!!!!!

Brilliant, I love it. Reminds me of Top Gear, but who cares? More action like this please.
