These two beauties are bespoke creations for one specific McLaren customer. Called the MSO R Coupe and Spider, the twin McLarens mark the start of more bespoke models from the Woking firm.

The twin cars look to be based on the 650S or 675LT Super Series models, but have been modified both visually and under the skin. They’re both finished in Liquid Silver, with the coupe featuring a satin finish and the Spider having a gloss one.

There’s loads of red detailing on the stretched front splitter and side skits, while a massive fixed rear wing and dive planes on the front boost the car’s aerodynamic prowess. Maximum power from the 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 is rated at 679bhp and 516lb ft of torque

McLaren’s Special Operations division is keen to do more one-off specials for devoted McLaren fans and owners.

The team there can be as flexible to your demands as possible, meaning that MSO buyers can have anything from uniquely coloured and trimmed cars like the ‘Fux Fuchsia’ 720S revealed during the 2017 Monterey Car Week right up to sports cars with built-from-the-ground-up designs like the famous X-1.
