 Porsche Cayman Black Edition unveiled
On sale now, stuffed with extras
Based on regular 2.7 Cayman coupe

Hark! Is that the sound of a facelift around the corner? Porsche has unveiled the new 2015 Cayman Black Edition, its regular limited edition treatment historically rolled out whenever an updated model is waiting in the wings.

We’re expecting the newly turbocharged four-cylinder Boxster and Cayman twins to be launched in 2016, so consider this as a finale to the coupe range before the 981.2 generation lands in dealerships.

What’s new on the 2015 Porsche Cayman Black?

Well, there’s the all-in-black paintwork, for starters. It’s been seen previously on special-edition Boxsters and 911s, and the black look extends inside the cabin too where the part-leather seats are retrimmed. This is mainly an extra equipment job and the spec of the entry-level 2.7 with a regular 271bhp is inflated with the addition of:

  • Porsche Communication Management (PCM) sat-nav
  • Auto-dip mirrors
  • Rain-sensing wipers
  • Cruise control
  • Parking sensors front and rear
  • Sport Design steering wheel
  • Sound Package Plus
  • 20in Carrera Classic alloys
  • Bi-xenon cornering headlamps

How much for a Cayman Black?

No word on UK prices yet, but in Germany the special edition will cost €59,596. It’s on sale now.
