Summer motoring events

Aston Martin

Will call back

Audi

Not something in our strategy. Have decided to go to Goodwood.

BMW

We’ve spent our available marketing budget at the o2 – partnering the venue for 3 years to 5m people.

Caterham

We’re too busy. We had a record month last month so too much going on – not necessary. Will probably end up at Autosport show.

Chrysler

Looked at 2006 show and we feel with our range of cars we can take the investment and talk to a broader customer base in the UK rather than concentrate on the London postcode.

Daihatsu

Nothing new to show. Plus budget constraints.

Fiat

Cost and benefit reason. Not in marketing schedule of events. Doesn’t meet our requirements.

Lamborghini

Will call back later today

Maserati

It’s organised by centrally by Maserati SpA. We sell 700 cars.  We haven’t taken part in the British Motor Show for quite a long time. Normally only take part in shows like Geneva.

Mitsubishi

No plans at this stage.

Porsche

Will call back

Rolls Royce

Focussing on other events. Launching new phantom coupe in next couple of weeks in France.

Skoda

Budget restrictions. Had to make some hard choices and decided to go with other marketing efforts and advertising.

VW

We didn’t go to the last one and felt our resources would be better used in other areas – into improving out products and giving our customers the best value.

Volvo

It’s extremely expensive. We can do the same thing for less cost at other shows around the country. Felt this year it didn’t work for us.
