Porsche Panamera (2009): undisguised cabin photos

Published: 31 October 2008 Updated: 26 January 2015

CAR can today – at last – strip away some of the disguise of the new Porsche Panamera. Our spy photos afford the first look at the Panamera’s cabin, which is totally undisguised.

Chinese website Xcar.com.cn has scooped these first unofficial interior shots of the new four-door super-saloon. The Panamera is no stranger to CAR readers; we have published 12 scoops so far (and counting!) on Porsche’s challenger to the new Aston Martin Rapide and top-notch Mercedes S-classes.

Porsche Panamera: the cabin spy photos

The Panamera interior looks production ready: the grain of the interior plastic trim appears fully finished – always a good indicator that the car is ready to go. It’s no surprise, as the Panamera will go on sale in summer 2009.

Porsche family DNA is clearly visible on the instrument cluster and central panel, which appears to use a touch-screen. However, there are still myriad buttons on the unusually high central tunnel, which includes switches for climate control functions and suspension settings.

What about the Panamera’s exterior?

Coming on nicely. CAR’s own latest spyshots show pretty much the finished exterior. And the wait is nearly over – we’ll see the Panamera in final, production trim this winter. What will all our spy photographers do then?
