60sec road test
How to atone for the ills of the Q7 big brother: build a smart-looking mid-sized crossover like the Q5. It's difficult to stress enough how much better designed and resolved the smaller SUV is. The design has aged well and still looks crisp and fresh to this day. But this is a 4x4 with depth of ability. The inside is a covetable place to sit. It's well equipped. And best of all it drives just like a road car should, with no unruly off-roader manners to sully the experience. There are no duff engines, but we'd recommend going for the smaller diesel engine; it's all the Q5 you'll need.
