► Jag F-Pace SVR finally here
► Supercharged, 542bhp V8
► Due in summer from £74,835
The most powerful F-Pace is here, revealed at the 2018 New York motor show. This is the all-new Jaguar F-Pace SVR – a V8-powered range-topper for Jag’s SUV.
Jag’s ultimate F-Pace has been a long time coming – we’ve spotted it numerous times on test, even at the Nurburgring and battled conflicting reports of whether it was even going to be a thing or not in the first place.
But it’s real, and comes with some tasty performance details. Read on for all we know.
And you can watch it in action in Jag's short video clip here:
Jaguar F-Pace SVR: performance specs
The F-Pace SVR uses a 5.0-litre supercharged V8, cranking out 550PS (or 542bhp in old Church of England brake horsepower) and 502lb ft of torque. That’s good for a 0-62mph sprint in just 4.3 seconds, with a top speed of 176mph.
SVR tweaks to the chassis include uprated dampers with increased front and rear spring rates, 395/396mm front and rear brakes and a rear electronic differential to manage the power. The ‘Quickshift’ auto ‘box, torque vectoring, Jag’s adaptive dynamics and all-wheel drive systems all have their own SVR-spec tweaks.
Plus, there’s a throaty active exhaust ‘that delivers a powerful Jaguar SVR soundtrack’. Lovely.
It certainly looks sporty…
Of course. Jag has whacked on an SVR aerodynamic package, which awards the F-Pace a unique look. The front is clean to improve aero, the rear bumper includes housing for the four chunky tailpipes and there’s a mini flip-up spoiler, too.
There are standard 21-inch or optional 22-inch alloys, both with mixed width tyres to aid traction, much like the Porsche Cayenne.
And what about inside?
Slimline leather sports seats with ‘lozenge’ quilting and an embossed SVR logo feature and four upholstery colour combos can be specced.
The InControl Touch Pro system is standard, as is a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 4G hotstpot capable of tending to eight devices.
How much is the F-Pace SVR?
It will be priced from £74,835 in the UK and will be available to order in summer 2018.
