Nip/tuck time for Jeep Renegade: 2018 facelift revealed

Published: 07 June 2018

► New 2018 Jeep Renegade
► Fresh range of petrol engines
► Available summer 2018

The updated Jeep Renegade, set to release in summer 2018, has been unveiled at the Torino motor show.

Jeep’s refreshed B-segment SUV comes with new engines and features a refreshed look, improving on the successful Jeep model that arrived in 2014.

The new engines will comprise three and four-cylinder petrol models, with the 1.0-litre delivering 118bhp and a 1.3-litre providing either 148 or 178bhp. The growth in the range of petrol engines comes as Jeep plans on ditching diesel in Europe within the next five years.

There are new alloy wheel designs and a couple of minor exterior tweaks like new headlights that look like they’ve been lifted straight off the new Wrangler.

The model has also had a tech update inside with a new larger, crisper infotainment screen replacing the original 6.5in unit and removing the area once surrounded by controls.

We’ll find out more about the new 2018 Jeep Renegade towards the end of June 2018. Prices are expected to change little from the current car, but the introduction of new smaller capacity petrols may even lower the entry-level price.
