Demonic limo: Mercedes S-class facelift gets 888bhp Brabus treatment

► Brabus 900 limo
► It’s an 888bhp S-Class!
► Plus 691bhp V8 version

You can always trust Brabus to make a mad Mercedes even madder. The tuning brand has wheeled out two new versions of the facelifted S-class limo, the Brabus 900 and the Brabus B40-700.

The 900 model is based on a Mercedes-Maybach S650, but Brabus has bored out the V12 from 6.0-litres to 6.3-litres. The crazy tuner folk have also squeezed out 888bhp and 1106lb ft of torque from the V12 – 267bhp and a whopping 500lb ft more than the wafty Maybach.

New turbos, conrods and exhaust system are among the mechanical upgrades, along with a Brabus-specific body kit and massive alloys.

If you opt for the less-powerful but still just as mental 700 version, its 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 cranks out 691bhp and 701lb ft. This one is based on the facelifted Mercedes-AMG S63.

Brabus is keen to stress that it’s not just about performance either – buyers can spec a huge load of tailor-made personalisation options inside, too. The Maybach-based 900 version is pictured with huge tan leather armchairs in the rear with workstations and quilted leather upholstery of Brabus’ own specifications.

The 700 goes for the murdered out look inside, with carbonfibre inserts and flashes of red in the dashboard, plus black leather seating with a pattern not dissimilar in design to the armour baseball players wear. We’ll leave it up to you on whether you think they look good or not…

How much? We don’t know yet – Brabus hasn’t said. Expect both to be super expensive, especially considering a basic Maybach will set you back at least £175k…
