Techart at 2009 Frankfurt motor show

The aftermarket tuning community began its assault on the Porsche Panamera for the first time at the 2009 Frankfurt motor show, and leading the pack was Stuttgart-based outfit Techart.

Using Porsche’s Panamera Turbo as its canvas, Techart used its stand to demonstrate how it’s gone all-out to make its mark on the luxury GT, introducing what it calls a ‘discreet elegance’ into the mix.

What does the Techart makeover comprise of?

Visually, there are few places where Techart hasn’t had a go at making an impact of some kind. A new three-part front spoiler, with integrated air ducting, brings the benefits of reduced front lift and improved brake cooling, while revised side skirts work in tandem with a revised rear spoiler and diffuser to impose their stabilising effects on the car at autobahn speeds. Dual-oval Techart-engraved exhaust pipes finish off the makeover at the rear, and there’s also a set of new 22-inch wheels.

Interiors are Techart’s forte and inside there’s new leather, a matching Alcantara roof liner, and veneered ash door linings.

The Techart accessories for Porsche Panamera S, 4S and Turbo will be available in December 2009 with more options expected to arrive at the beginning of 2010.
