Lewis Hamilton’s Supercircuit on video

Now the Drivers’ title is in the bag, the Pussycat Doll is on his arm and the new F1 season is still a few months away, Lewis Hamilton was clearly short of a challenge. So the first British Formula One World Champion in over a decade has designed his own ‘Supercircuit’. And you can see Hamilton’s dream circuit in our computer-generated video simulation below.

Lewis Hamilton’s own circuit – what’s it like?

Bloody hard. Hamilton chose a counter-clockwise circuit – only Istanbul, Singapore and Turkey on the 2008 calendar run that way – and picked the toughest and most challenging corners from around the world. They include Istanbul Speed Park’s Turn 8, Eau Rouge at Spa-Francochamps, Copse at Silverstone and already looking ahead to 2009, the famous 130R at Suzuka.

Lewis explained: ‘I wanted to create a circuit that would be challenging, exhilarating and enjoyable, but most of all somewhere you would love to have the chance to drive and provide the definitive test for any driver, in any car.’
