60sec road test
Rewind a decade and you may (or more tellingly, not) remember the Hyundai Getz, the city car with which they tried to tempt you away from Fords and Vauxhalls and Europe's best. Not a memorable effort. Amazing, then, to see the progress made with the latest i10 - a real class act that comes highly recommended. For the smallest Hyundai on sale today, it's remarkably spacious inside and the larger 1.2-litre engine provides ample oomph for its city car cred. The 2014 newcomer has added a degree of polish and the Koreans have even nailed the styling in our view; it looks every inch the smart Euro city slicker. A watertight warranty is the icing on the cake. A smart buy indeed.
