This is Mercedes-Benz's first pick-up and is produced in association with Nissan, with whom Daimler partners on certain engines and platforms. So the X-class is essentially a rebodied Nissan Navara. For more information on the X-class, click on our further stories on the links below.

Nobody has driven the X-class yet - it's not even being unveiled until later in summer 2017 - so you're looking at the 2016 concept car. But we do know quite a bit about Merc's plans for the new X-class pick-up and they're gunning all out for quality. We have pored all over the show car, which was produced in different iterations showing how Daimler could sell a lifetstyle version and a more utilitarian pick-up. Expect quality to outstrip that in a VW Amarok, the current class benchmark, and the plan is to produce the most powerful engine of any pick-up sold in Europe, as well as four-cylinder engines.
