60sec road test
The original Aero 8 was the first truly modern Morgan in decades, and it’s now evolved into the more well-rounded Aero range, dropping the ‘8’ suffix. Thankfully it’s also lost the original car’s boss-eyed expression by replacing the VW Beetle-sourced headlights with Mini units. Performance is surprisingly monstrous; both variants are claimed to get from 0-62mph in 4.5 seconds and on to a top speed of 170mph. The most contemporary car in Morgan’s range, with a bonded aluminium chassis that’s been continually refined and developed since the car’s conception, it’s still constructed by hand inside the firm’s tiny Malvern factory. The world is a better place for its existence.
