Murphy’s law strikes again: month 3 with the Mini Cooper SE

The day didn’t begin well: a broken home charger – on account of it having no phone signal, of all things – meant the Mini didn’t start a journey to Heathrow fully topped up.

The nav within the Mini phone app should in theory be good for in-journey solutions, offering options as to where you can stop and containing details like charger speed and availability.

In practice, less so. One charger it offered was in the middle of a private car park, another was on the wrong side of the M4.

I finally managed to get juiced up thanks to a combination of Zapmap and Google Maps but it’s frustrating that what should be a one-stop app doesn’t live up to the promise.
