60sec road test
The Cayenne caused outrage among Porschephiles when it first appeared, but it’s been a sales smash beyond the company’s wildest dreams. The one we’d buy
S Diesel. The twin-turbo derv V8 is nearly as quick as the petrol Cayenne Turbo and just as refined but a heap cheaper to buy and run
The one we’d avoid like the plague
Turbo – see above
Rivals to consider
Audi Q7, BMW X5, Infiniti FX
Handling, performance, practicality, quality
Not exactly cheap
