CAR is at the 2016 Geneva motor show, also known as the Salon International de l’Auto et Accessoires. We’re bringing you the latest news, photos, details and insight, straight from the show floor. There are more versions of the new Maserati Levante on display at the Geneva show.
Just when you think you’ve seen it all, along comes an electric supercar that packs a claimed 6372lb ft of torque. Yes, you read that figure correctly. Regardless of whether that’s a realistic claim or not, there’s certainly a lot of interesting engineering going on in the new Techrules TREV supercar. Bring on the dyno day – if they can find one that can register that much torque, that is.
Renault’s revealed its new Megane Sport Tourer. It’s got a 580-litre boot, folding rear seats and a whole host of other practical touches. It faces stiff competition, though, from the likes of the VW Golf and Ford Focus estate – among others.

Aston Martin has revealed the new DB11. We knew that it was getting a twin-turbocharged V12 but, until today, performance figures hadn’t been released. The headline figures are 600bhp, 0-62mph in 3.9sec and a top speed of 200mph. More details here.

The new Lamborghini Centenario is drawing a crowd – and it’s not hard to see why.
Contributing editor Steve Moody is having a look around the all-new Volvo V90 estate. Seems he likes it. It’s the third model in Volvo’s ’90’ series of cars, joining the XC90 SUV and S90 saloon.

Maserati’s got its new SUV, the Levante, on display at the Geneva motor show. It’s the company’s first crossover and, so far, the response to it has been decidedly mixed.
Something for the motorsport fans – Abarth’s taking its new version of the Fiat 124 Spider rallying!
This is the new 760bhp Lamborghini Centenario. The launch of the limited-edition 760bhp supercar marks the centenary of company founder Ferruccio Lamborghini’s birth. More details here.
CAR’s staff writer, James Taylor, has been taking a look at the new Opel GT concept.
Porsche has unveiled what might just be the purist’s choice in 911 range. It’s called the 911R and packs a 493bhp naturally aspirated 4.0-litre flat six – and it’s got a manual gearbox. It’s also lighter than other Carreras. Numbers are limited and it costs £137,000…
A motor show wouldn’t be the same without a selection of bespoke models from the usual aftermarket suspects.
In other small SUV-related news, Audi has unveiled its all-new Q2.
Volkswagen’s revealed its T-Cross Breeze concept. Looks just like an Evoque convertible from some angles, doesn’t it.
CAR’s Digital editor-in-chief, Tim Pollard, is reporting live from the show.
News in from CAR’s editor, Phil McNamara. Ford’s revealed four new Vignale models, in an effort to better take on rivals like Audi and BMW.
Honda’s taken the wraps off its new Civic prototype, just ahead of the show starting in earnest. The new prototype previews a production version of the tenth-generation Civic.
Top-down fun, just ahead of the show starting, with the reveal of the new Smart Fortwo Cabrio Brabus edition.
Morgan’s also revealed this, a limited-edition version of the long-standing 4/4. Only 80 will be made.
Morgan has snuck in a few reveals just before the show doors open. First up is this, the EV3. Yup, it’s an electric version of the 3 Wheeler. Cool, isn’t it?
Yet another pre-show reveal; this time it’s the Volkswagen Phideon. It’s destined for the Chinese market but previews the next-gen Phaeton.
CAR’s editor, Phil McNamara, got a closer look at the new Ford Fiesta ST200. It gets more power and torque, as well as bespoke trims and finishes.
Skoda’s revealed its new Vision S Concept, ahead of the show opening. It’s a six-seat, plug-in-hybrid SUV that points the way to a production model. Expect to see a production version at the end of 2016.
Another pre-show debut in the form of the new Mercedes-Benz C-class Cabriolet. It gets a folding soft-top roof, which helps keep the weight down and allows for more boot space.
Kicking off the show in style, before it had even opened, was the debut of the new Bugatti Chiron. It’s a 1480bhp monster, of which only 500 will be built.
