Audi RS4, A1, S5 and R8 V10 details

I would agree that Audi need to increase their model range as when compared to other German rivals, BMW and especially Merc, some holes are exposed in their model range. I mean, where is Ingolstadt's rival to the CL, SL or CLS (upcoming A7 granted)?

Totally agree with Kubrick on most points...Personally I am not an Audi fan at the minute and I also openly slate the company quite a bit but only because I would like to see them to do well in the future.I feel like they are stagnating in a lot of department except maybe powertrain wise and as VW is also moving upmarket within the group(wrongly??)I personally find it hard to justify the price difference

I don't really have much of a problem with Audi's nomenclature - I actually find it much more sensible than some other companies', though giving the A5 a higher rank through its name is slightly bogus. But then again Merc could make people believe their CLKs were so much more desirable and luxurious than the bog-standard C-Class by giving it a different monicker and dressing it up in some E-Class-clothes. While I don't own any Audi scale model with which to perform dark voodoo ceremonies (like some particular Audi-hating contributers seem to do), I also have to wonder where the four rings will be in five years' time: interior quality is decreasing, handling isn't improving as drastically as promised and design is getting increasingly repetitive and awkward. My personal opinion is that Audi will find out that there are actually limits to a company's growth in the foreseeable future. R8s and monstrous Q7 V12 TDI with 10.000 torques will help boosting the brand's image (a bit), but neither of these cars will make a lot of money. I'm not talking of impending doom at Ingolstadt, but some of the more preposterous ambitions might be laid to rest.
