As we predicted back in January, the Lexus GS range has received an early facelift and fresh features as Lexus looks to reignite the range. This is the US version – the European one won’t land here until later this autumn.
Making its public debut today at Pebble Beach during Monterey Car Week, the new 2016 Lexus GS range receives a whole new front end, including new LED headlights, new safety features, fresh interior trim options, exterior colours and machined-finish wheel designs.
Inspired by the 1990s Predator movies, was it?
Lexus says the modest facelift adds more emphasis to the coupe-inspired profile; we say it looks more like its come straight from the face of Predator – so much so we wonder if the fluid levels are luminous green as well…
Lexus GS: safety overload
The new 2016 GS is bristling with safety equipment – getting Safety System + which includes a pre-collision preparation, pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, adaptive high-beam LED headlamps, traffic sign reconition and more.
