1) Afghanistan bound (our winner)

Here I am at 37,000ft in our C17 Globemaster, en route to the Middle East to drop off a Puma helicopter to our colleagues in Afghanistan, wondering if either aircraft, some day, will also be powered by renewables. Aircraft use considerably more fuel than cars, so why not?

2) CAR in Ibiza

Car magazine proved a good companion at Ibiza by the pool. The late October sun shone, on your stunning pictures, embellishing the whole reading experience.

3) From the beach

An endless feast for the automotive senses at the 2015 Pebble Beach Concours. Hundreds to choose from, but the stunning livery from this 1982 Rothman’s 956 screams Ickx, Bell, Schuppan, Holbert and Haywood destroying the Mulsanne straight.

4) 3 out of 4 ain’t bad

So close to the holy grail! LaFerrari, Porsche 918 Spyder & Bugatti Veyron all parked together at the Four Seasons Hotel in Paris. Waited for the McLaren P1 to join the party, but no joy!

5) Elvis’s roller

Hanging with The King’s car collection at Graceland in Memphis.

6) Younger reader

Having just seen Spectre in the cinema, Aeliana (aged 10 months) was eager to see the article on Bond Astons and Jaguars. Once she starts school she will read it too. Until then daddy will just have to explain why a DB10 is very cool.

Richard Phillips

7) Range Rover cabrio

I’m not getting all this kerfuffle around the new Evoque Convertible. It’s not as though JLR hasn’t been here before. Is it? Checkpoint Charlie, Berlin.

8) Capturing cactus

Swanning along the road from Cascais to Guincho, we saw this Citroën C4 Cactus concept being photographed. I have been a Small Car/CAR reader since day one.

9) Porsche GT4 lives!

One of the lesser spotted Cayman GT4s in Clifton, Bristol. Almost doubled in value and being used. Check out the plate!
