► First round of 2017 WEC season
► Ford, Porsche, Toyota aiming for glory
► 6 Hours of Silverstone is the first leg

It’s World Endurance Championship time again! The 2017 season is kicking off with the 6 Hours of Silverstone this Easter weekend and all of the headline teams are gunning for glory once more this year.

The WEC will be using Silverstone’s full 3.6-mile Formula One circuit and will be populated by 27 cars from four different racing categories. This season sees Porsche and Toyota Gazoo Racing going head to head once again in the LMP1 category; last year, Porsche snatched the win from Toyota after a crushing technical drama for the Japanese team minutes from the end of the Le Mans 24 Hour race.

In the GTE Pro category, Ford is riding high after a dominant season and confident to get stuck in to the fight with Ferrari, Aston Martin and Porsche in the production-based class.

Where and when can I watch it?

The 6 Hours of Silverstone takes place between Friday 14 and Sunday 16 April. If you haven’t managed to get a ticket, some of the action will be on Eurosport 1 or 2 and the race will be broadcast on Motors TV in its entirety.
