The all-new Mini WRC team has contested just Rally Sardinia this season, but drivers Dani Sordo and Kris Meeke haven’t been at home twiddling their thumbs since then: there’s been a rigorous programme of testing and development, all of which will be put to the test on the team’s next outing in Finland from 28-30 July.
After that Mini will contest nearly all the remaining rounds of the 2011 calender, including Germany, France, Spain and Britain. Only Australia is off the menu. (It’s the same schedule that VW Motorsport is planning, only that it will contest the remaining rounds of the 2011 World Rally Championship in a re-worked Skoda Fabia IRC ca,r before the Polo R appears sometime in 2012).
