► Prototype spied for Porsche Cayenne
► Big changes front and rear
► Interior also goes more 992-style
Porsche is readying an updated Cayenne, just a few months after revealing the all-new 992. These exclusive spy pictures suggest Stuttgart’s popular SUV is set for heavy redesign, and the smart money’s on a 992-style revamp.
What’s new?
Heavy camo front and rear makes everything slightly harder to see, but it’s possible to make out new, slimmer headlights and a fresh front apron. At the rear Porsche engineers have installed prototype lights, though we expect a boxier look, like the current 911.
Expect the Cayenne to follow Stuttgart’s flagship inside, too. Like the 992, the new Cayenne will benefit from a fresh UI, upgraded touchscreens – and a similar gear selector shifter to the 911.
What else?
What’ll power the new Cayenne remains unclear – as does the choice of body styles it’ll be offered in. After all, we’ve already snapped pictures of a Coupe Cayenne, an electrified version, and a sportier GT version of the SUV.
