Video: Alfa Romeo 4C thrashed by Giancarlo Fisichella

The Alfa Romeo 4C is almost here. We’ve seen it in concept and production car form, and ridden shotgun in the all-new Porsche Cayman rival ahead of Alfa unleashing its carbonfibre supercar on the world. As a final tease, Alfa has released a video of ex-F1 and current Ferrari GT driver Giancarlo Fisichella giving us his impressions of the 1.7-litre turbocharged engine, sub-1000kg, and on-the-limit handling at the Balocco test track in northern Italy. It’s been priced from £45,000.

Of course, Fisi’ is a Ferrari man, and by extension, employed by the Fiat Group, which also owns Alfa Romeo. So, it’s of little surprise he seems to be enjoying the 237bhp rear-drive 4C. But, by the sounds of that rorty four pot and the lairy angles sustained while the rear tyres gush smoke, it’s fair to predict we’re going to like it too…
