Infiniti will unveil a show car at the Detroit motor show in January 2015 called the Q60 Concept.
Billed as a ‘premium sports coupe concept’, a logical assumption could be that it’s a forerunner to a replacement for the existing Q60 Coupe, formerly known as the G37 Coupe and rebadged as part of the company’s naming structure shuffle some months ago.
Any concrete facts on the Infiniti Q60?
Infiniti’s impressively unhelpful description of the concept mentions that it’s fitted with ‘full-size wheels’ – which presumably means large ones – placed at the car’s corners.
Judging by the sketch, though, it looks like there’s a relatively long overhang going on at the rear.
Certainly some elements seen on the enormous Q80 Inspiration show car displayed at the Paris motor show seem to be repeated on the Q60 study. The angular vent along the car’s flank for one, and much of the car’s side surfacing appears to be similar.
Are those shades of Nissan GT-R in the proportions?
Very possibly. After all, the recent Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge supersaloon borrows the GT-R engine.
Lots to think about then. We’ll bring you more information on the Infiniti Q60 Concept in the near future.
