Infiniti Q60 coupe concept revealed (2015)

Updated: 26 January 2015

Following that shadowy teaser image issued before Christmas, Infiniti has revealed its Q60 concept in full.

The two-door coupe concept will make its debut at the Detroit motor show from January 13th 2015.

Infiniti Q60: design

As suggested by the initial teaser image, the Q60’s side surfaces are very similar to those of the Q80 Inspiration concept shown at the 2014 Paris motor show, as are elements of the frontal treatment. There’s a whiff of the Q50 Eau Rouge in the vanes aft of the front wheelarches too.

Those bulging arches are filled by 21-inch wheels supposedly inspired by jet turbine blades.

Infiniti Q60 interior

Inside you’ll find quilted leather seats along the same lines as those of the Q80 Inspiration, together with various bits of carbonfibre and alcantara trim to tick the necessary ‘sporty’ boxes.

Seating is a 2+2 arrangement, with Infiniti promising more legroom for rear passengers than typical of most 2+2 coupes – a statement that suggests this concept is more than a styling exercise.

On the way to production?

Infiniti describes the Q60 Concept as ‘foreshadowing the next generation of Infiniti’s premium sports coupe’, suggesting that we’re looking at a replacement for the existing Infiniti Q60 production car, which began life as the Infiniti G37 Coupe.
