Lamborghini Murcielago LP650-4 Roadster (2009)

Published: 13 March 2009 Updated: 26 January 2015

Another week, another special edition Lamborghini – but this is the Murcielago LP650-4 Roadster, the most powerful Raging Bull this side of the new SV.

Lamborghini Murcielago LP650-4 Roadster? So it’s no ordinary LP640-4 then?

Not a bit of it – this LP650-4 has 641bhp, 10bhp on the standard car. The peak torque figure and the four-wheel drive system remain unchanged, so the 0-62mph sprint time remains pegged at (a hardly lethargic) 3.4 seconds, but the top speed is up a few units to 205mph.

Just 50 LP650-4s will be built (compared to 350 of the hard-top SV), and all cars come with Grigio Telesto exterior paint, plus Arancio LP650-4 orange on the front spoiler and sills. There are also orange brake calipers and a transparent engine cover.

The interior is asymmetrical, with black Alcantara on the driver’s side and black leather on the passenger’s side, while the orange theme continues with satsuma-coloured paddles for the E-gear sequential manual gearbox.

No prices have been announced for the Murcielago LP650-4 Roadster, but it’s expected to cost 10% more than the standard car, so you’d best find £255k then.
