Jaguar XKR 75 (2010) CAR video review

Published: 05 October 2010 Updated: 01 February 2015

We take the fastest Jaguar since the XJ220 – the new XKR 75 – out to Germany’s Nurburgring for a video review. Jaguar has only built 75 examples as it celebrates its 75th birthday this year and in our video player below you can watch CAR writer Jethro Bovingdon as he closes in on the 174mph top speed of this boosted XKR.

Updates over the standard XKR include a more generous helping of 523bhp, 483lb ft of twist, made possible by a new induction system to the supercharged 5.0-litre V8. The chassis is upgraded to cope with the extra muscle.

Watch the video below and see the new Jaguar XKR75 fending off the Ring regulars such as the CSL and GT3.

CAR would like to say a huge thank you to Destination Nürburgring for making this video possible. Destination Nürburgring run exclusive trackdays on the full Nordschleife circuit, which means you can run complete laps without worrying about toll booths. These car-only events also mean you won’t be avoiding mad bikers or random coaches, too! Go to www.destination-nurburgring.com for more information
