Honda has pumped an extra £1845 into sweeteners for buyers of the new 2015 Civic hatch and CR-V crossover – with free servicing available in the UK until the end of the month.
March is the biggest sales month of the year for most manufacturers, and it’s telling that Honda is scrambling a special offer halfway through the month.
So what’s the deal on the new Honda Civic and CR-V?
All new-shape Civics and CR-Vs qualify for free servicing to cover all scheduled maintenance for the first five years or 62,500 miles.
The deal lasts until the end of March 2015 and is available to all fleet and private customers in the UK. It’s transferrable to subsequent owners and not tied to the customer, making it a useful selling point a few years down the line.
2015: year dot for Honda
Honda needs 2015 to be a big year; after a period in the doldrums with reversing sales and a stagnating product line-up, it’s now back with refreshed mainstream models and some exciting sports variants in the pipeline, including the new Civic Type R and NSX hybrid supercar.
Which explains why it’s also offering a deposit contribution of between £500-£1000 to those customers buying on finance.
Leon Brannan, head of cars at Honda UK, said: ‘The new shape Civic and CR-V are the first of the refreshed product line up to hit the forecourts and we wanted to clearly signal our intent that 2015 is the year that Honda is back.’
